AUDITORY NEEDS ASSESSMENT
East Meadow Hearing & Speech Centers Auditory Integration Training Systems conducts Auditory Needs Assessment (pre-screening auditory evaluations) in order to determine whether Auditory Integration Training (available through Home Programs or On-site) would be recommended.
The first step is to request the Needs Assessment (pre-screening evaluation). We will send an extensive questionnaire to be filled out by you (the parent or applicant) and a letter to be given to a local audiologist for the applicant's hearing evaluation (audiogram). Instruct the audiologist to fax or mail us the completed audiogram.
Upon review of the applicant's questionnaire and audiogram, we will schedule a phone appointment to complete the evaluation and give our recommendations about whether the person in question is a good candidate for AIT. We also make other recommendations as appropriate.
